Slicer Dicer is true 32-bit application and is designed to run on most
Windows (98/Me/NT/2000/XP/Vista) systems. Specifically, the target system must
satisfy the following minimum requirements:
 |
Intel 80386 CPU or better. |
 |
Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000,
XP or Vista |
 |
Video System supporting at least 256
colors and 640x480 pixels or larger. (Slicer Dicer is compatible
with all color-palette modes, including 256, thousands, millions,
and true colors.) |
 |
Eleven MB of available hard-disk space. |
 |
RAM - In general, if your system is able to support and run
Win98/Me/NT/2000/XP/Vista it will support Slicer Dicer. We
have found that Win98 will run with 16 MB of RAM memory but we
recommend at least 32 MB. NT will run with 32 MB but we
recommend 64 MB or more. For 2000 and XP we recommend 128 MB and
for Vista 512MB. More RAM helps avoid the need to use the hard drive for
virtual memory, which slows programs considerably. The amount
of RAM available becomes an issue for Slicer Dicer if you need to
load and manipulate large data sets. Slicer Dicer's speed will
degrade once your system starts using virtual memory, but it will
still run. |
